The Mississippi Law Journal is excited to honor Guff Abbott, Professor Emeritus at this year’s Spring Alumni Event in Ridgeland, Mississippi.
The University of Mississippi recognized Abbott for numerous awards during his tenure, including Outstanding Professor of Law across four different decades, Outstanding Professor of the entire University of Mississippi campus in 1986, and Alumnus of the Year 2000-01. Abbott also served as the Acting Dean from 1985-87, and graduated from the University of Mississippi for both his undergraduate and law degrees.
