The Mississippi Law Journal accepts new members from the second-year class during the summer following their first-year of law school. All candidates for membership must have a 3.20 GPA and successfully complete the membership competition, which includes a Bluebook editing exercise, a Mississippi case brief, and a publication-quality case note. The number of candidates selected for membership each year varies.
Candidates who rank among the top fifteen students in their class after the completion of their first year of law school will be offered a position on the Journal, provided that they successfully complete the membership competition.
Those interested in competing for membership should contact email@example.com for more information.
