Peer Review Forum Lecture

The Mississippi Law Journal is hosting the Peer Review Forum Lecture Monday, February 27th, 2016 at 12:00pm in Weems Auditorium.  The event is co-sponsored by the Sherman L. Muths, Jr., Lecture Series and will feature Professor Alfred Brophy of the University of North Carolina School of Law.  Professor Brophy will present his article “Twenty-One Months a Slave” via webinar.  The article will be published in Volume 86 of the law journal.

Volume 87: Editor-in-Chief

James B. Kelly

Congratulations to James B. Kelly on his election as Editor-in-Chief of Volume 87 of the Mississippi Law Journal!

 

James is from Brandon, Mississippi, and is the son of James L. and Julia D. Kelly. He is a second-year law student at the University of Mississippi School of Law, and is a member of the law school’s Moot Court Board. He received his bachelor’s degree in government from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

 

After his first year of law school, James worked as a summer associate at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, Wise Carter Child & Caraway, P.A., and Maron Marvel Bradley & Anderson, LLC, all in Jackson, Mississippi. Additionally, he has served as a judicial extern to United States District Judge Michael P. Mills in Oxford, Mississippi, and United States Bankruptcy Judge Neil P. Olack in Jackson, Mississippi.

 

This coming summer, James will be working as a summer associate at Sidley Austin LLP in Dallas, Texas, and Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP in Jackson, Mississippi.
